Haven check in Miami

When checking in at Miami for the Epic Haven is there a dedicated line to go through? Do you have to go through security first and then go to "Haven" or is there specific area to go to once you are dropped off by the taxi?

Thank you

First of all, Epic is the first of NCL megaships that uses two separate terminals (B and C) in Miami so make sure that your cab takes you to the terminal specified in your eDocs. The terminal selection is based on your deck, odd decks in one and even decks in another.

There is only one point of security right after the terminal doors so everyone goes through there first. After that there is someone directing people to the right check-in queues, that is where from you'll be heading to Haven check-in area.

With two separate terminal check-in locations, does that mean that there are two lounges for suites? I know when I last sailed on the Sky, the Suite waiting area was so small I just couldn't figure out how one of the huge ships would be able to fit all the suite passengers into the little room!!

Don't assume those "NCL" people directing send you to the right queue :p My first time on the Epic I knew since we were staying in the Haven there was suppose to be a "special check-in area" but missed it after going through security so I asked 3 different people, showed them my documents and by all 3people was directed to the general boarding lines, when I got to check-in the people there were like OMG why are you here :) These last 2 years I now know the drill :D

After 3 years of going out of Miami this year we are leaving out of New York....If I can't find the Haven check-in I will just head for a check-in line and be happy I'm going on a cruise !!

So Funny- fisrt time for me in haven was on the Epic. I heard there was a "special" checkin place but didn't see it - so I went to the regular check in line. They said the same thing "OMG" and proceeded to escort me to the haven area checkin! I was fine where I was but I guess all my registrations were in the haven area. Now indeed, like you, I know.

Went on BA last August- You will love it. The haven area walk way is to the left right after you go through security. I had to go pay my corkage fee so I got turned around a bit But I asked a lady standing there and she directed me to the proper area. I believe it was to the left of where everyone else was going- as you walk various people may ask you if you are haven or have you show your documents. You will also see plenty of signs! Have Fun!

OP- forgot to mention- as long as you look for the Haven registration room you should see it. When I went I wasn't really aware that there was a different registration area for haven suits so I was too busy looking ahead and not side to side.

After going through security look to your right and left and you should see it. Enjoy!

You should ask someone before you even enter the door. When we arrived for our Getaway cruise there was a line outside the building. I asked the person at the door if this was the line we should be in. They directed us to an unmarked door to the left of the main door. We walked in that door and there was a separate security line there just for Suite passengers. After going through that line we checked in at a small office, then were escorted to a small room across the hall with snacks. When that area filled up we went to the main waiting area in a small group, then on to the ship...

First time on one of the mega ships out of Miami. Last time for us was on the Pearl and we all entered the same place as everyone else, went through security and then went to the suite check in area. A little unclear by the posts.

there are 2 terminals, both lead to the same security area??

There is or isn't a separate entrance prior to security for Haven guests?

I like to be well prepared when I get to the port. Been misdirected too many times.

One of the two terminals is exactly the same as you used when boarding Pearl and works just like before, terminals are side by side but technically separate and gangways from each lead to different parts of ship (at least on Epic).

In our experience the security and check-in process has been always exactly as you described, even when boarding Getaway for Haven.

There was indeed a separate entrance into the building PRIOR to security when we cruised the Getaway. As I said, I bypassed the line outside the building to ask if I should be in that line and was directed to a THIRD entrance all the way left when facing the building...
