Today I missed a call from Carnival, offering an upgrade sell to a balcony. Unfortunately, I was unable to answer and she left a message. When I returned her call, she was unavailable. I will try again in the morning, but it appears the sailing is sold out, so I bet I missed out.

 

Its nice to know I was on the list.

I would still try. You never know. You literally have nothing to lose by making that phone call!!!

I concur. She may not have the deal that she was going to offer but she may have something you would like.......if you're interested in moving to a better cabin. If she doesn't have a good deal you only lost 5 minutes of times.

They will also call you and try to get you to buy their insurance if you haven't already gotten it from them.

I have 3 OV rooms for the 3rd of January on the Fascination and received an upsell call yesterday. The offer was 3 Jr Suites for $900 more. I told them they could keep them.

I'll be interested to see if I get an upsell call closer to cruising time. I've never received one before. I did call yesterday just to see what it would be to upgrade to a balcony cabin and it was somewhere around $400 (which I declined).

I'm really hoping I get that call for our wedding cruise in March. I want a suite! Doubt I will be so lucky though!

I got the email last time and took the offer to go from a balcony to a suite.

Our cruise sold out this morning and I got my first upsell call thus afternoon. Went from an inside GTY to aft-extended balcony for $175 pp. total of $495 pp Woot! On the Breeze in 4 days!

I did reach Carnival this morning. I declined the offer to move to a deck 10 balcony for $300 and chose to stay in my square inside on deck 6. Maybe if we weren't headed to the Breeze when we get off the Conquest.....

exactly my question - never ever gotten the call - and our upcoming cruise GTY was the worst cabin assignment I've ever had. (all the way forward lower deck under theater)

 

Really hoping to move with either last minute upgrade or upsell.

 

we tend to use outside TA - so I may need to call myself or ask her to inquire as we get closer.

We go through our PVP and this time I asked her about upsell calls. She asked me if I wanted her to note that I'm open to them and I said sure. This was our first upsell call.
