GTY rate outcomes: post 'em here!

Booked Dawn this Friday two days before sailing .

 

Booked IX gty. Got an assignment in under an hour O/V 8668

Assigned- IC FWD Deck 10 (almost Mid)(27 days out)

Booked gty, ocean view on the Jewel, first sailing; were assigned a cabin almost immediately: it ended up being the very front of the ship, deck 5 I think (can't remember) we were a little disappointed but we were so happy to be on the ship we didn't really care. Now, we are on the Jewel again, next month: balc guarantee; no assignment yet. I am waiting to hear. The price we are getting is just to good to worry about where we are on the ship.

gty OV for Pearl December 10 Panama Canal RT 11 days. Got assignment last week of 8570 Obstructed view.

 

Probably no view at all, but can't beat the location (midship, roll out of bed for breakfast at OSheehans). The price we got was pretty good as for this cruise the prices have been really high with the exception of the big dip in early February for gty cabins only. We opted for free gratuities, which when we booked was only good for OV or higher. So, that made the OV less expensive overall (for us) than an inside. Not much of a chance for an after final payment inexpensive upgrade as the ship seems pretty much sold out, but we are looking forward to a wonderful time with a lot of people!!!!
