If you have been on "any" Malt Shop cruises within the past year or two, would you mind telling me the pros/cons of these cruises?

Would you let me know how the "named stars" interact with the public on the ship? Do you just see them at their concerts, or are they "friendly" if you would see them walking down the hallway, etc.?

I don't need to know about the ship, but if you want to give me some info on it, that will be fine too.

Yes, I'm sure they do.

I was telling my friend about this cruise, and she liked what I was saying. When I told her that I was almost "positive" that it would run about $2,000 or more, that sort of "changed" things. It is very inticing, and would be right up our alley. :) We could probably do it, but it would be so much better if we did not have to "fly", as that is an extra cost for us, as well as transportation and insurance coverage, even if we got an "inside room.

Have you looked on the website for Malt Shop memories?

I believe they have photos from their various cruises, and maybe that would give you information.

They also list the various activities for the week.

I know the cruise sells out fast!

Yes, I have, but I'm wanting to find out "prices," and it doesn't show anything there. It all looks good, but I want to know the cost for the rooms. I have emailed them, and haven't heard back. I figured they must not need my business that bad.:(

Cabin costs are listed on their website. They range from $1875 to $5450 double occupancy and show $2550 for single occupancy inside. You can also book online on their website. Why not try a mock booking?

Hi: I went on the Malt Shop Cruise last year and we absolutely loved it!! Best cruise ever because of the entertainment. Loved everything about it. There are concerts, but also there are live interviews you can attend and the stars are very accessible. The music is playing everywhere and it was funny to see the crew humming the songs that they probably never heard before, lol. Every night there are different activities, beach party, prom, costume party, etc. There were probably ten Elvis impersonators, concerts on the pool deck, I could go on and on. You actually feel like you are back in that time period. It is too amazing to describe. We also thought that the food was fabulous. We really enjoyed it. Better than the food on both RCI and NCL. We did not like the gym as it wasn't the best and the casino was just okay. We have already booked for next year and it was worth every penny. We paid almost $6000.00 but my DH has always loved the music from this era and the stars won't be around for ever. I wouldn't hesitate. :)

Thank you EVERYONE for your input on my question/s.

This would be right up our alley, but when I have to figure in our flight/transportation/insurance, it looks like we'll have to put this on our "bucket list." :)

I will say, the first cruise I took 25 years ago was on Holland American, and we definately got HOOKED on the ship and it's people. :)
