Beachfront Hotel Recommendations

Hi everyone,

 

I'm looking for a nice hotel, preferably beachfront, in the Fort Lauderdale area that is also close to some restaurants/shops/activities. Last time I was in Ft Lauderdale, I stayed at the Westin Beach Resort (loved it!) and i was planning on staying there again, but it's saying that no rooms are available :(

 

Anyone have any recommendations? It doesn't necessarily have to be right in Ft Lauderdale, but somewhere close to some action would be nice...Not sure if there's any other areas with nice hotels/restaurants within ~30 minutes of the cruise port?

 

EDITED TO ADD: Anyone stayed at the W Fort Lauderdale?

The W Hotel is amazing. Highly recommend.

 

The Hilton FLL Beach is also pretty high on my list. Courtyard Marriott and Ritz Carlton are also fantastic in the same area.

We stayed at the Hilton FL Beach Resort in November. We really liked it. We had a 1 bedroom suite with a balcony. I thought it was in a good location. There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance and the beach was right across the street. They had a nice pool on the 6th floor that overlooked the ocean.

Thanks everyone for the replies. We ended up booking the W Fort Lauderdale. It was a little out of our price range, but it looks really nice! Unfortunately, the Hilton Beach Resort was sold out also. I guess because I'll be staying the Friday before Memorial Day?
