Oriana delayed departure

Oriana is showing as having left Southampton at 09.29 this morning. I assume that is a somewhat delayed departure, anyone know why?

Probably weather related. There was a bad storm in the bay of Biscay. I have seen elsewhere that Brittany Ferries sailings to Spain were cancelled.

Just had a look on the met office website, overnight wave height of 12 metres. Reckon you are spot on.

It was definitely weather. She's on her way now with an amended itinerary.

yes we where on board and where told it was delayed due to the storm and as a result the ittinary was re arranged with la courner being dropped, all on board where creditted with £25 per person and free whine at dinner the first evening.

If you have booked excursion through cruise company yes will be refunded but not sure what would happen if you have pre paid a private excursion.

Check terms and conditions as they could vary but I have booked quite a few private excursions and if the ship doesn't call you get a full refund.
