Cool Breeze Cruiser Posted March 13, 2015 Author #26 Share Posted March 13, 2015 We booked the Dr. Suess breakfast as soon as we got on the ship & it was wonderful! It is held on the last sea day & is just $5 per person & worth every penny. There was also a Dr. Suess parade on the 1st sea day. Carnival really goes all out with the Green Eggs & Ham breakfast! Cool Breeze Cruiser Posted March 13, 2015 Author #27 Share Posted March 13, 2015 Fun for 'kids' of all ages! This Yogurt Parfait Schlopp tasted as good as it looked! No wait! That is a horrible picture so it tasted way better than it looks! And then there were REALLY green eggs & ham! Mitch ordered the Green Eggs & Ham AND the Fox in Socks Steak (filet mignon) & Eggs! Cool Breeze Cruiser Posted March 13, 2015 Author #28 Share Posted March 13, 2015 The wait staff was getting in to the whole Dr. Suess theme! Carnival has a photographer at the breakfast taking pics but you are also able to take pics with your own camera. A Carnival employee actually took pics for us with the different characters. Cool Breeze Cruiser Posted March 14, 2015 Author #33 Share Posted March 14, 2015 We thought the food on the Glory overall was really good! Carnival changed the fixed dining times to 5:15 for Early Seating & 7:30 for Late Seating on the February 9th cruise & kept it that way for our cruise too. We had YTD in the London Dining Room. Our dining room service was all fine but we never really found a wait staff we clicked with so we never requested to sit in anyone’s section. We were all over the dining room! J.R. & I and Lynn & Mitch & our roll call friends Erika & Chris (who just happened to live in our hometown) had so much fun at dinner! One night we were laughing so hard tears were rolling down our faces! Our table-mates around us were looking at us like we were crazy. Come on people! It IS supposed to be a Fun Ship! I kind of missed those ugly purple grapes from the Miracle! J.R. asked every night when they would have Escargot. The only food pic I took in the Dining Room the whole cruise! No offense Chris but I don't think you would ever make it as a waiter on a Carnival ship! :p
Cool Breeze Cruiser Posted March 14, 2015 Author #34 Share Posted March 14, 2015 We tried Guy’s burgers one day for lunch, had Blue Iguana another day & Chopsticks one day & they were all good. We just didn't have enough sea days to eat everything we wanted! Blue Iguana makes a mean breakfast burrito! And the breakfast buffet on the Lido Deck seemed a lot better than usual. The pineapple on-board was melt in your mouth!
Cool Breeze Cruiser Posted March 14, 2015 Author #35 Share Posted March 14, 2015 We only ordered room service one time :( & J.R. & I got our usual BLTs veggies & dip & Lynn & Mitch joined us for a picnic. Wow! I just noticed we had the adjoining doors open without our 'door props'! :D
Cool Breeze Cruiser Posted March 14, 2015 Author #36 Share Posted March 14, 2015 The Welcome Aboard Show was held the 2nd night. We always enjoy going to it & meeting the Cruise Director & checking out the singers & dancers. Our Cruise Director was Kirk Benning for the first part of the cruise & then Paulie V took over for him mid-cruise. We really meant to go see the show A Kiss Good Night with the Burlesque Dancers as we had heard it was really good but it was at 11:30 the night we were in St. Maarten & we crashed after the last comedy show. We went to the Comedy & Hypnosis Show starring Asad & it was pretty good. We have a hypnotist that performs at our local fair that we think is better but our hypnotist does not have to worry about having people move around on a ship that is rocking! I am sure that limits what he can do. We have seen the ‘Physical Comedy of Max Winfrey’ before & he is always entertaining. He was on America’s Got Talent a few years ago. The Big Easy is an amazing show & the props & costumes are incredible! The comedians were so much better on this cruise than they were on our cruise to Hawaii (where they were horrible) so we spent a lot of time in the Comedy Club. The comedians for our cruise were Jason Anders & Ken Rogerson, Joe Marlotti & Stanley Ullman, and Azeem & Nery Saenz. Azeem was the only one we did not care for. The Comedy Shows were held in Club Rio. A couple of nights it smelled like it was overdue a good cleaning. I am sure the seats in there end up wearing a lot of drinks! Cool Breeze Cruiser Posted March 15, 2015 Author #39 Share Posted March 15, 2015 Elegant Nights were the day we were in St. Maarten (the 2nd day after San Juan) & the sea day after Jamaica. Our group ready for the 1st Elegant Night. Mitch remembered to bring his dress shoes this cruise! :p Looking pretty snazzy! Chris & Erika are such an adorable couple! Our guys kept things lively! Cool Breeze Cruiser Posted March 15, 2015 Author #40 Share Posted March 15, 2015 Second Elegant Night We went around the ship taking pics in random places. I got a new point & shoot camera for Christmas & I hate it! It is one of those cameras you have to hold the button down halfway to get it to focus. A new camera is on my wish list for our next cruise! Mitch & our Cruise Director for the second part of our cruise, Paulie V, had on matching shirts. I don't know why we always get a pic with our cabin door (or Lynn & Mitch's cabin door this time) on Elegant Night but it is one of our traditions. bizeemom4 Posted March 15, 2015 #41 Share Posted March 15, 2015 Hi again. Nice review. I agree about Azeem. I always skip him when I see him on the schedule. I missed all of the shows except for the Big Easy. And I think the Dr. Seuss breakfast is outstanding!
Cool Breeze Cruiser Posted March 15, 2015 Author #42 Share Posted March 15, 2015 Sea Days We had a great cabin crawl & Poker Run with our roll call group & got to see a lot of different type cabins including a Grand Suite & a Junior Suite. Thanks to Patti & Roy for setting it up! Shawn & Richard not only showed us their gorgeous Grand Suite but they also provided us with these wonderful treats! We all met in the Piano Bar at the end of the crawl to see who had the best hand. I know why I don't ever go in the Casino!

Cool Breeze Cruiser Posted March 15, 2015 Author #45 Share Posted March 15, 2015 We were blessed with gorgeous weather on our sea days! Our guys had their dancing shoes on even in the pool! Lynn & I were cracking up watching the guys!

I always skip him when I see him on the schedule.I missed all of the shows except for the Big Easy. And I think the Dr. Seuss breakfast is outstanding! It was a great cruise! It just went by way to fast!!! :D Thanks for the review. I will be doing the B2B in Oct., so it's really fun seeing everything. Looking forward even more now.Debbie What fun planning for all those ports! We enjoyed everything we did but I would book with Royston in St. Kitts again in a heartbeat! I hope your cruise rates drop as much as ours did. It ended up being ridiculously cheap! Juli
Cool Breeze Cruiser Posted March 15, 2015 Author #47 Share Posted March 15, 2015 We spent a lot of time on the sea days playing Bean Bag Toss (AKA Corn Hole). J.R. & Shon were partners the 1st day. I think Shon had a premonition! Getting serious now! There is a Ship on a Stick awaiting the winners. Lynn partnered with Mitch. Lynn had never played Corn Hole before but look at her go! And the winners are... Drumroll...J.R. & Shon came in 1st & Mitch & Lynn came in a close 2nd! Shon & Errik teamed up the second day & were the runner ups. Good Times! Cool Breeze Cruiser Posted March 15, 2015 Author #48 Share Posted March 15, 2015 An announcement woke us up about 4:30AM one morning & got our attention! We heard Team Alpha, Code Delta & something else. A few minutes later the Captain came on & said it had been a false alarm for a fire. Paulie V came on with another announcement about it. It was a little hard going back to sleep after that! We had to turn our clocks back one hour the night before we were in Jamaica & the night of the 2nd to last sea day. Carnival recently made a change & is giving a bottle of water instead of a brunch drink coupon but Platinum & Diamond members receive the bottle of water AND the drink coupon so we liked the change! :D The Platinum gift was the game board. One not so great sunset picture because my new camera stinks but the good news is I am ready to move on to the ports & I really like my water camera!
