shootr Posted May 28, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 28, 2015 Well, back at 200 this morning, due to last weekends lack of eating discipline. Not bumming because I'm getting miles on the bike, eating and snacking under control since Monday, and feeling focused, happy and motivated. I keep picking targets that I know I want to look and feel good at - family reunion in Tahoe in July - sounds like a perfect one to focus on. Pool is up to 72 and if it really hits 107 this weekend it will be plenty usable - looking forward to relaxing and exercising in that this summer. Went Sprouts shopping last night - lots of veggie juice, lean meats, grains - me and the missus are in sync and doing good. Good luck everyone - sorry for the pic but my son didn't show up for our ride this morning so I was rubbing it in on the faceb@@k :D
nyer Posted May 28, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 28, 2015 I am down .4lbs. Not much, I thought I had done a lot better. Good for you, shootr, on the exercise. Belle, I hope that you are doing well. Rose
retiring soon Posted May 28, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 28, 2015 Hi all! Belle ~ good figuring there! Already seems like summer here for the last couple of days. shootr ~ I don't blame DS for not showing up, it looks dark there!! I am up 0.2 lbs so that's not too bad, down would have been better. I just couldn't resist baking a rhubarb pie & muffins last week so of course someone had to eat them! Have a good day! I'm going to a nice restaurant in Town today so looking forward to that. Also picking up some British pounds & not looking forward to that with the exchange the way it it!:( ~ Jo ~ :)
winewanderer Posted May 28, 2015 #6 Share Posted May 28, 2015 (edited) Hello Everyone, Back from my 11 day cruise. I gained 5 lbs. One thing, we had a drink package that came with the room we booked so hubby and I drank far more than normal. I think if we didn't have that package I would have only gained a couple of lbs. We did go to the gym a lot. Anyway, back to losing, I'm sure it will come off fast. Congrats losers. Have a good week. Jan_In_Maine Posted May 29, 2015 #7 Share Posted May 29, 2015 Good Morning - A day late here ... I stayed the same, which was ok, as I didn't do the best on eating and exercising this week .... started well, last weekend I did more in the spare room ... painted windows and a door - one more window and door and then on to painting ceiling. Hope everyone has a great weekend - Jan
Belle Posted May 30, 2015 Author #8 Share Posted May 30, 2015 shootr..Exercise, you sure do good at it. Nice wife is doing eating plan with you, makes it easier. Have fun in the pool. Rose..You lost thats the main part. Know we want more. Sure comes on faster then it leaves. How soon is your cruise now? Jo..0.2 lb gain isn't bad for eating muffins and such. You like to bake? I don't like to bake or cook anymore. lol Your buying British pounds. Your going to England? Did forget reading that? Diana..How was your cruise? Did you enjoy it? Or do you remember with the drink package? LOL 5lbs in 11 days not bad, it will come off fast. Water weight. Jan..Staying the same better than gaining. Your getting lots of exercise painting the spare room and fixing it up. Are you doing it just to do it or are you having company? Not a busy weekend here. Seeing my mother Sat. and getting nails and toes done Sun. I'm doing good most days others not so good. It's our minds..we have a quiet moment or lie in bed it starts thinking of everything. Memories.. good or bad. What we did or didn't do. What we wanted to do but didn't. ect. So makes you feel happy at times and then very sad at other times. So not sleeping as good at night. Sleeping to late in the morning. So not getting everything I want done during the day. But that's life..will deal with it. Thank you all for your best wishes. retiring soon Posted May 30, 2015 #9 Share Posted May 30, 2015 HI all! Belle ~ you're so thoughtful, thanks for the comments.:D You will have good days & bad but hopefully more good than bad. I am headed to Prague via London Wed. for 3 nights before coming back to London to do a Dacey's Cornwall tour. I want to see that lovely little town where "Doc Martin" is filmed so found this tour given by a guy from MN. He lived in Cornwall for 30 years before coming to America. Just found out this morning that the Heathrow Express which I was going to take to my London hotel is not operating on the day I need it due to a strike so I'll have to make alternate arrangements.:( Have a nice weekend. ~ Jo ~ :)
shootr Posted May 30, 2015 #10 Share Posted May 30, 2015 Appreciate the update on you Belle, thanks for letting us know what's going on in your world. 20 miles this morning with my son on my vintage bike - he did great for only his second pretty long ride. And the 185 calorie reward: Then bowling...its a HS PE credit believe it or not. Marching Band apparently doesn't count - silly. Yeah, the old man still kicks butt on the younguns! shootr Posted May 31, 2015 #11 Share Posted May 31, 2015 Mmmmm, 7 hours from now! Salt pepper paprika and onion. Side salad and a slice of jalapeño bread. What are you all doing for dinner? [emoji106]
retiring soon Posted May 31, 2015 #12 Share Posted May 31, 2015 (edited) HI all! shootr ~ I bet that's going to be tasty!:D Are they ribs? We're having duckling a l'orange (frozen) with noodles & red cabbage, something we really enjoy & it doesn't have a lot of calories.;) I'm thinking of baking a frozen little cherry pie to go with it since it's pretty cool here today. Have a good week. I won't be checking in Thursday as I'll be in the Czech Republic. ~ Jo ~ :) Edited May 31, 2015 by retiring soon had to add a line
shootr Posted June 1, 2015 #13 Share Posted June 1, 2015 Yep, back ribs! Most of the fat cooks off so I drain it an hour before serving and finish it with some water and apple juice. Swapped out the salad for fresh corn instead. Fell right off the bone. And there's leftovers. Have great safe trip!
shootr Posted June 1, 2015 #14 Share Posted June 1, 2015 My little fitness/calorie counter app just flagged me a note saying I have logged in for 106 days in a row without a miss.:) Very motivating to keep track of everything - good and bad - for me to try and stay the course. My bike computer app talks to the calorie counter app which broadcasts it to everyone on the facebook - lots of accountability there! Just throwing that out there, how handy keeping a food diary has been. Even though I'm going to Costco tonight and will eat there, I input all the other food I'll be eating today already and now I know where I'll stand at the end of the day and how much between meal snacks I can afford. Hope everyone had a great weekend - keep on keepin' on!
Belle Posted June 1, 2015 Author #15 Share Posted June 1, 2015 Hope everyone had a good weekend. Jo..Have a great vacation. Sounds like a very interesting one. Hope you got your connection fixed. retiring soon Posted June 2, 2015 #16 Share Posted June 2, 2015 Hi all! shootr ~ that meal looks delish! Makes me wish the corn was ready up here. WTG tracking on MFP for so many days in a row! I don't do it when I know I'm going to be way over & won't do it while on vacation!:o Belle ~ I did find alternate transportation to the hotel & now the tour leader informed me they've reached a settlement on the original one. Just hope I get a refund as I don't want to pay twice! Have a great week & see you for a weigh in on the 18th! ~ Jo ~ :)
