1st cruise out of Miami newbie question

Taking our 1st cruise from Miami. Is anyone familiar with any area hotels that have port transportation.

Are you flying in? I believe there are some by the airport which may have shuttles to the pier, although I would never choose to stay there if I was coming in early enough to have any time at all to explore Miami.

 

Stay anywhere in the Downtown area and you will be a very short taxi ride from the pier. We like the Hilton Downtown. There is an elevated tram around the area with many stops. Walking distance to shops, restaurant/marina.

We have cruised out of Miami twice. Once we had a rental car and the agency had a shuttle. The other time we stayed at a hotel, they did not have their own shuttle but arranged for pickup with a shared shuttle. Their were three family units from our hotel alone that were going to the port that morning. It picked us up around 10am and cost $10 pp.

A taxi isn't expensive and is much faster than a shuttle!

Agreed, and if you are on a budget it is usually lots cheaper to stay out by the airport than downtown.

Uber is also in Miami and can be cheaper than a taxi.
