Christmas Decorations

Weird question! Does anyone know when Christmas decorations are put up? We will be on Independence of the Seas on November 21st.

Not really sure, but I think it's the week after Thanksgiving. I'm sure someone else has a better idea.

We always do a Thanksgiving cruise. The decorations seem to go up within a day or two following Thanksgiving Day.

 

But if you go to Home Depot, Lowes, Big Lots you can find decor now :eek:

We often take the next cruise after Thanksgiving and the décor is already up for us. It all came down the day or so right after New Year's on our one New Year's cruise.

1 Dec cruises I have been on were decorated. 2 Jan cruises no decorations or last of decorations came down. I figure they are up for 1 month.

On our last Thanksgiving cruise the decorations started going up the day after Thanksgiving. The ship was completed decorated by the time we disembarked.

LOVE those December cruises! The ships are beautifully decorated! :D

Yes they go up the day after Thanksgiving, it's so fun to walk around each day and see something new go up!!! We love to cruise in December to see the beautifully decorated ships and a bonus we have our Christmas cards done onboard!

We thought the ship was "all decorated" when we boarded on Dec. 14th, but they kept adding more stuff for several days.

 

Also, on our sailing, there were some people who were doing the second leg of a back-to-back and they decided the Diamond Lounge should be decorated too, so they went shopping on turn-around day and bought garland and lights and a small tree. Then spent the next two days decorating the Diamond Lounge.

On The Brilliance last November the decorations were up prior to Thanksgiving Day. We disembarked on the holiday and were able to enjoy the decorations most of the cruise. As in all things cruise related, I'm sure that varies a it each year and each ship.

WE were on EX for a New Year's cruise. The ship was fully decorated through January 1, and when we woke up January 2, the ship was magically un-decorated without a trace!
