Another vote for the Marriott Waterside!!! Love this hotel!!!

It is less than 2 miles from the port and right on the trolley line if you want visit other areas.

Do they offer free parking during the cruise? I am looking to drive over the night before and either take the trolley or a shuttle to the port, leaving my car during the five night cruise at the hotel.

Any info would be most appreciated! :)

Residence Inn Downtown Tampa... Great hotel.

Here is a link to the downtown Tampa hotels.

The port is in the Channelside area just across from the Florida Aquarium... so that should give you an idea of where the hotels are located in reference to its proximity.

Try the Hampton Inn Ybor near the downtown area. I believe that they have a park & cruise pkg.

Here is a link that will show you the area and some other downtown hotels that you may want to check out for rates. http://www.downtowntampahotels.com

The port is across from the Florida Aquarium. Most of the hotels are on the trolley system.... The Hampton is for sure.

There is a new hotel in the downtown area... it used to be the Howard Johnson

but was bought out and went through renovations... it is now called the Barrymore. They advertise that they have a stay & cruise pkg that includes free parking.

Have fun !

I have been looking at the Embassy Suites in that area for pre-cruise. Anyone with experience there ?

Great location. Nice hotel. Next door to the Marriott. Both are great pre cruise options. Believe it our not the Tampa Convention Center next door has a nice outdoor bar area that's fun. I would stay at either place!
