King Sized Bed Pinnacle Suite

Having stayed in 2 of the PS on the Rotterdam, I would offer the same advice as Sue1898 above. Whilst the bed comprises of 2 singles, I can't see how they would separate because of the fittings. :)

Nope. It's the only suite type that doesn't mention "convertible to" in the bed description. There is a pretty big fold out bed in the living room. IIRC, Krazy Kruizers has a good photo of it.

Right -- the King size bed in the PS can not be separated into twins. Some of the ones we have had do have drawers at the foot.

The bed that folds out from the cabinet beside the desk in the living room is a queen size bed.

Thanks for the photo. We've never opened the fold out bed, but it's pretty close to queen size, and definitely larger than a sofa bed.

More comfortable than a typical sofa bed too. When we stayed in it we had friends in the room with us that used it. We tried it out for a couple minutes when it was out to see if it was comfy. I could have easily slept on it and I HATE sofabeds with a passion because you usually feel the frame

Does the king sized bed in the Pinnacle Suite convert to two twin beds?

We have had the Pinnacle Suite in nine HAL ships - all four S Class, 2 R Class, 2 Vistas and the PRINSENDAM. The king bed is, remains and stays a king bed. Not one of the 9 beds convert or converted to twins.

A new development for the Pinnacle suites on HAL is that they feature Duxiana mattresses as well. We were really surprised on our most recent Rotterdam cruise. Was told that the Rotterdam was the test ship and that it went so well that all ships in the fleet will now have Dux beds for their penthouses. It was really fun working with our stateroom attendant to find the perfect setting (there are various zones on the bed for both sides and you can choose soft, medium or hard for those zones. But, once it was all said and done, we slept beautifully and are looking hard at our own Dux mattress now. Oh, and it's a King Bed, not two twins - so NO separation at all (as already has been pointed out).
