frustrated!Embassy Suites by Hilton San Juan Hotel & Casino

I thought I was doing good by trying to book a cruise in advance - looking at a Southern Caribbean in December 2016/January 2017.

I know I can't book airfare yet but I will just keep checking.

But already it seems my plans are dashed - I tried to look at the prices for Embassy Suites by Hilton San Juan Hotel & Casino - it's ALREADY sold out for Dec 1, 2, 3 2016. That's a full year away!

Looks like through the week is available - but no weekends.

And to make it worse - I can't book January 2017- it's not even available to look at to book yet, but how will I even have a chance if the month prior is already full?

I always book way in advance too. I have been trying to book Hilton next year for Nov 28 timeframe in Florida and they just now released that date.

I think you'll need to wait until Dec 3 passes. I don't even think the hotel manager can manually go in and book over 1 year in advance. You'll be fine.

Hilton Caribe in Puerto Rico is nice too if you can't get into Embassy Suites.

You are smart to book things now. I booked our flight, hotel, cruise out of San Juan last year for our upcoming February 2016 cruise, and the prices are really going up.

I think it's just sold out. The calendar is released until December 5 now - dec 1-3 is still sold out.

I did the view where you look at entire weeks - it just seems that every Thursday to Saturday is booked.

I guess it's just that popular. Crazy!

When I check for Dec 1-3 it isn't available. When I click on "view available dates' it gives me a calendar which shows the first available date for 3 nights is Nov 27-30. It also looks like it is available for the other nights before that. I think it will be opening up in a few days. If you are looking for the beginning of December it should not be sold out. It just isn't one of the most popular times for traveling, that's why cruise rates are usually some of the cheapest.

Don't give up yet. We stayed there when we were on the Carnival Splendor. We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Isla Verde after our Celebrity Summit cruise. I personally preferred the Embassy Suites. I liked their pool better and also their set up at the beach. They provide chairs and umbrellas while with the Hampton you have to drag a chair to the beach yourself. I also liked their evening manager's party better than the one at the Hampton.
