Getting from Narita Airport to Tokyo hotel?

We have a pre-cruise stay at the Shangri-La in Tokyo and have never been to Japan before. What is the best and easiest way to get to Tokyo?

Narita Express train takes you from Narita straight to Tokyo station. Shangri-La is next to Tokyo station.

The train will be good to avoid all of the traffic.

The train is wonderful. You can easily roll your luggage onto the train without lifting. It is not expensive and fast. Goes right to Tokyo Station. Our hotel was at the station.

 

Didn't need a taxi at all. Not sure where your hotel is located, but if you do need a taxi, it will be a lot cheaper from Tokyo Station.

If you have more luggage -- and do not want the hassle. You can take the Limo Bus (just a big bus). It will stop directly at your hotel. Only issue could be their schedule.

We will each have checked luggage and a carryon. To get to the train, and at Tokyo Station, is there an elevator to the trains or would we have to lug them up/down stairs. I really appreciate all the replies and help.

I don't remember if we used elevators at Narita and Tokyo Station or took an escalator. but it was not a problem. I know there are elevators at Tokyo Station. I think we took an elevator at Narita.

 

It was not a hassle, we are in our late 60s and managed just fine.
