iiiisx349 Posted January 31, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 31, 2016 if the cruise says $299 does that mean at least 2 people or would I have to pay $299 x 2 since I'm going solo?
kerryincork Posted January 31, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 31, 2016 Generally slightly less than 299 x
mrneil001 Posted January 31, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 31, 2016 Depends on the cruise. If you change the number of passengers to 1 in refine results, it will show you the single rate.
figdu Posted January 31, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 31, 2016 You can sometimes find a solo cruise without a supplement. I did a 6 day Breeze last year for $398. Had 1a on 9th floor.

How in the world did you find a great deal like that? What month and how close to the cruise did you book?
RuthlessBoss Posted January 31, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 31, 2016 How in the world did you find a great deal like that? What month and how close to the cruise did you book? Those days seem to be gone:mad: I've looked most of this past year for great solo deals, but they are not showing up on any mainstream cruise line. My last super deal was on NCL in November 2014 with a huge balcony for $499 for 7 nights on Getaway.

This week last year and I booked it around Thanksgiving 2014. Edited January 31, 2016 by figdu I hate iPad autocorrect
SkyMaster Posted January 31, 2016 #9 Share Posted January 31, 2016 I agree with the others above, that the days of those SOLO deals are a thing of the past. I used to find 'em fairly often too, but not anymore. "SKY"
terryinal Posted January 31, 2016 #10 Share Posted January 31, 2016 Finding a solo rate seems to be a thing of the past. I always book solo and hope I find someone to go later. Plus some times they offer a solo rate and give me the OBC. But that hasn't happen in a while
Venicegal Posted January 31, 2016 #11 Share Posted January 31, 2016 I booked a single cabin for 5 nights on Carnival Paradise back in September for $248. I sail tomorrow. Booked through Carnival's site.
figdu Posted January 31, 2016 #12 Share Posted January 31, 2016 Decent single rates are like price drops. They don't come along very often.

If there was no supplement, it was a needle in a haystack;)
Venicegal Posted January 31, 2016 #14 Share Posted January 31, 2016 The price was $248 plus $91.24 taxes, fees and port expenses for a total of $339.24. My husband doesn't enjoy cruising and my friends and family couldn't go. At that price I couldn't resist! It's an interior cabin (1A) on deck 2 with a upper and lower bed. I've never been in that category but since I'll be myself I think it will be fine.
