Any seaweed issues Orient Beach? We are going in about 2 weeks

I LOVE Kontiki Beach Club. Comfy chairs, clean bathrooms, amazing food! Hot French guys wait on you too. Not too shabby :)

It can change day to day - none when we were there in January.

I really want to go back to Orient Beach ,been there 3 times and love it, however I'm concerned about the French protesting the border on the road to there. One poster here said he was there just last Saturday and the road was closed again. Scary, don't want to get stuck there and not able to get back to ship. Can anyone recommend a beach on the Dutch side that's nice? I don't want to go back to Maho, been there done that. Some place that's easy to get there and back?

Thanks

I'm going in April! A lot of people have suggested mullet beach. It's just a little past maho, $8 pp by taxi of the cab is full or you can take the bus for $2 pp!

Iare there taxis waiting at mullett to take you back to ship

No there are not taxis generally at Mullet. If you patronize Rosie's they will call you one. Most go from Mullet to Maho. Probably not worth cleaning up the sand in the taxi for that fare. I would think that it's better for them to head back to the nearby entertainment area, Maho beach or the airport and wait there for a fare or a call.
