We are diamond plus with royal and one of our favorite perks is the BOGO first night in the specialty restuarant of your choice. You can usually book another night while you are there and receive the BOGO again if both of you are diamond plus. I don't know if there is a similar thing for diamond. But, I know you will enjoy the diamond lounge. Go early and get a seat or you will also be given 3 vouchers for drinks at any bar during the happy hour times. If you have any questions, I will be happy to answer for you. Deb

Hello "Tom"!

Enjoying your posts! Hubby and I are traveling on the Equinox next spring (March-2017) for the first time and this will be on a Celebrity cruiseship for the first time! Our itinerary includes Limon, Catagena, Panama, etc....Hoping those destinations prove to be a good choice!

Also we are excited to have booked a fall (2017) Mediterranean cruise on the new Konningsdam!

In the meantime, this fall (Sept.'16) we'll be sailing on the Noordam for a cruise/land adventure to Alaska!

So, LOTS to look forward to!

Just wondering.....have you ever cruised on Oceania? I'm seriously looking at that line-seems to be really, really special!!!

And, my last question.....of ALL the cruising you've done....what is your favorite line/cruise ship?

THANKS and HAPPY SAILING!! :0)

EDIT... no idea how the "thumbs down" appeared (touchscreen accident perhaps), but I see no way to edit that out!

Yes, it looks like you've got a lot of variety in your cruising future! :)

We've never tried Oceania. I'll check it out at some point.

It's difficult to pick a favorite line or ship. To me I feel that all lines have their strong points, and often it's the little things... from the buffalo wings on NCL to the non-smoking casinos on Celebrity... choices galore! I suppose it's a good thing that there's that type of variety out there, as it gives us a reason to sample different things.

I'm looking forward to some point in time, likely several years out, where we can take more exotic/longer sailings. Right now it's difficult to take, for example, 2+ weeks off from work. Hopefully that will change. :)

Tom

A perfect Sea Day:

30 minute walk on deck 14 (or in Gym due to poor weather)

Cleanup and breakfast in Blu

Grab a book and a lounger by the pool for 2-3 hours of sun.

Mast Grill lunch.

On board activity such as Hot Glass, Trivia, Bocce, whatever tickles our fancy.

Pool time

Persian Gardens for the heated lounger followed by a steam, sauna, and the Spring Rain shower.

Relax on the balcony with a book, or maybe a quick snooze.

Clean up, head to the foyer for some early evening music and dancing

Ensemble Lounge for pre-dinner libations

Dinner in Blu

Check out the evening's show

A little casino time

Find a lounge with our favorite music and beverages

End the night at the Sunset Bar gazing at the sky and the luminous wake of the Equinox.

Sounds like a perfect day!!!!

Hello CC!

Thank you everyone,

Brian

P.S. I do have the Premium Drink Package and 5 night specialty dining package.

Nobody mentioned the Martini Bar, you must go and watch the bartenders work their magic with filling 10-12 martini glasses at once. The bar itself has a stainless steel top with refrigeration, so it forms a layer of ice on the bar's surface.

The best part is their selection of specialty martinis.

DH and I sailed on the Equinox in Feb 2015 and it was the itinerary that you and your DH are sailing in March 2017. Be prepared for the heat and humidity when you arrive in Cartagena!! Cartagena, Limon and Panama were wonderful stops! Enjoy!!!
