shilu Posted March 9, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2016 Hi all, I am going to Alaska end of May and just wondered whether it was better to do the glacier and dog sled tour in the morning or the afternoon, as I heard it can be a bit misty in the mornings? Many thanks
Budget Queen Posted March 10, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 10, 2016 Makes no difference. Schedule it where it fits your overall port time best.
chipmaster Posted March 12, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 12, 2016 Weather is a crap shoot, sometimes warmer longer day brings clearing the other times clouds and mist roll in in the afternoon. IMHO when planning I'd schedule in such a way that if canceled it has the least disruption of your port day and you have other things that can happen with little change. FWIW we choose the first flight of the morning and thus if canceled we still always had the rest of the day for what we were planning.
Rare Keith1010 Posted March 18, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 18, 2016 I would select the time that works best for you. It really is a guess as to what the weather will be like that day. Keith
