juneau sled dog morning or afternoon?

Hi all,

I am going to Alaska end of May and just wondered whether it was better to do the glacier and dog sled tour in the morning or the afternoon, as I heard it can be a bit misty in the mornings?

Makes no difference. Schedule it where it fits your overall port time best.

Weather is a crap shoot, sometimes warmer longer day brings clearing the other times clouds and mist roll in in the afternoon.

 

IMHO when planning I'd schedule in such a way that if canceled it has the least disruption of your port day and you have other things that can happen with little change.

 

FWIW we choose the first flight of the morning and thus if canceled we still always had the rest of the day for what we were planning.

I would select the time that works best for you.

 

It really is a guess as to what the weather will be like that day.
