Terrorism

It's pretty much business as usual in The Netherlands and almost the same in Belgium. At least two of the three guides in Belgium mentioned the terrorism, which I certainly thought was appropriate.

 

We had a totally wonderful time.

 

We had a few ports changed before departure and one during the trip, for various reasons. We didn't miss any sightseeing, though, and the longest bus ride I had was just about an hour, with most being shorter. Of course it's really nice when we're docked right within walking distance of the town, which also happened.

If the terrorists kill you, then they win. I am traveling but changing where I go and how I go. To me, changing us is how to not let them win

We fly out to France on Monday and can't wait! My biggest concern is what to pack as there is a 40 degree swing in temps predicted while we are there. :)

I just had a great week in Paris, albeit exhausting, and just ending my week in Lyon, no issues at all. I noticed increased security in certain places, and on railway stations, but generally, it was Paris. If it's my turn, it's my turn.
