booking # question....anyone have a "Q"???

I've been trying to book FTTF for months..checking incessantly....the operative word, here is........ incessantly. I'm not new to this procedure...but the two bookings that said SOLD OUT immediately, 8 months ago, are "complimentary interior cabins" from the casino.

This may sound idiotic...but I'm wondering if FTTF may not be offered for these cruises. I noticed both bookings have a Q in the booking #.

In all my other cruises with Carnival..not one other booking number has a Q.????? Maybe because it's basically a free cruise...they won't offer faster to the fun?? Anyone else have a Q in their booking number?????

Yes, I have a Q in my booking number for my July cruise. FTTF is available.

I have had a Q in 2 of my previous cruises. I did not try to purchase Faster to the Fun for either of them. Unfortunately, neither was free. :) I would think that if the cruise was complimentary, Carnival would be happy to sell you FTTF, so they can increase their revenue.

I have had 2 casino "free" rooms, and neither booking number had a "Q" in it. Didn't want FTTF for those cruises, so I didn't check the availability.

Seems like you have a coincidence paired with no FTTF available. Just keep checking, and you may luck out on a FTTF.

Some seem to come available a week or two after final payment is due. For my last cruise, I needed to get 2 FTTF for relatives that booked after FTTF was initially sold out. Had to get up one night due to some heartburn issues, and decided to check the Carnival site. Yep, there were 2 available. Sometimes it's just the luck of the draw...

Make sure you join all the roll calls, groups, etc. for your sailing date (here on Cruise Critic and elsewhere).

Make it known to them that you are looking for FTTF.

In cases where I have had to cancel a cruise and "release" my FTTF someone on one of my roll calls has gotten it. (Once because I had them look the exact second after I clicked cancel) ;)
