MsMermaid Posted June 4, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 4, 2016 We are taking the Voyager to the Baltic this summer. Can anyone give me their thoughts on the Russian Ballet evening versus the evening of Russian Songs & Dance?
flossie009 Posted June 4, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 4, 2016 We thoroughly enjoyed the Regent evening excursion to the ballet in 2013; a performance of Swan Lake in the small Hermitage theatre (Catherine the Great's private theatre) Cannot do a comparison for you as we did not attend the Russian Songs & Dance
newlondon Posted June 4, 2016 #3 Share Posted June 4, 2016 Absolutely agree with flossie. In addition seating is on a first come basis so you can actually sit in Catherine's seat as I did. The quality is quite good-not Kirov-but the overall impression is fine. We saw Giselle so not too long and not too hard.

Can anyone give me their thoughts on the Russian Ballet evening versus the evening of Russian Songs & Dance? I loved the ballet evening. Not particularly into ballet but nice to say you have been to see one in St Petersburg. Hope you enjoy it.
doc47 Posted June 8, 2016 #5 Share Posted June 8, 2016 Did the ballet two years ago. It was terrific but the seating is not made for comfort and the hall was quite warm. I would still do it again however.
