Ft Lauderdale fun lunch suggestions?

We have a late afternoon flight after our upcoming cruise and I'm trying to find a good place for us to hang out for a few hours. I thought about a daypass to use a pool but since we want to be at the airport by 3, it seems like too short a time to spend the money.

 

We are thinking we could use the luggage valet and uber someplace for lunch, but we're also hoping to be in an area we can walk around in and kill some time.

 

Our pre-cruise hotel is the Riverside, so I know we could head back to LosOlas blvd area, but since we would have done the before the cruise, is there an alternative suggestion?

 

We have a group of 14, and we'd prefer to not go too far from the port and airport areas if possible.

Coconuts on the inter-coastal (and just a block to the beach) would be my recommendation. If you disembark on a Sunday, they have a brunch. http://coconutsfortlauderdale.com/

LuLus on the beach at Beach Place would be a blast!

 

You could always talk to the concierge at The Riverside about holding your luggage on the return trip.

 

Brunch Saturday and Sunday on Las Olas is a blast!

 

YOLO, Big City Tavern, American Social, Louie Bossi, Sweet Nectar, Fork & Balls, and Roccos Tacos all have unlimited Mimosas, Bellinis, Bloody Marys or some form of other drink for $12 with brunch.

Wherever you decide to go, you'd better make a reservation for a party that size! Maybe Casablanca Cafe upstairs can get you all in.

We always eat at 15th Street Fisheries on the water a few blocks north of the port. Great food and Water Taxi stop.

Since you have done the las olas thing, go to the Hard Rock Hollywood.

The bell man will watch your bags for a fee.

 

You could plunge your brains out, drink, shop, smoke listen to music and eat.

 

Three miles to las olas, five miles to HRH.

You must have reservations at American Social or you'll never get in. They are also the only ones with a buffet but it is amazing, crab legs, shrimp, omlet station, chicken & waffles, etc.
