Happily@Sea Posted August 25, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 25, 2016 A little bit of fog this morning. X Infinity in area west of final channel 13.3 k Zaandam following at 8.9 k I don't know that we'll see anything before they enter the harbor and even that is iffy - the fog seems to be rolling toward the camera. IllinoisGirl1978 Posted August 25, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 25, 2016 The harbor is pretty with the lights and the fog. It's 55 degrees.

Happily@Sea Posted August 25, 2016 #9 Share Posted August 25, 2016 Infinity has called in and asked about visibility in harbor. I'm guessing that that is her horn we're hearing. Fog is usually pretty dampening to sound carrying very far. At least the fog has pushed back a little, it had been creeping past the outer docks/piers. Happily@Sea Posted August 25, 2016 #12 Share Posted August 25, 2016 I see Zaandam is quite a way behind, no need to be that fast when you are early and have fog.

Rare Copper10-8 Posted August 25, 2016 Author #19 Share Posted August 25, 2016 (edited) Infinity pilot letting ZADM's pilot know about their progress in berthing (might still be using azipods when ZADM approaches the harbor). These guys (and two ladies) all know each other and constantly communicate with each other. Most come onboard when the ships reach Kake, AK and then stay for four-five days onboard, usually Ketchikan, after which the whole routine starts over with others cruise ships Edited August 25, 2016 by Copper10-
