Good Day!

I am a newbie too, sailing for first time tomorrow!

Addiction has already kicked in by just joining this forum! I am checking it several times a day!

A wealth of knowledge and opinions, many contradictory!

I am now an expert on lanyard useage!

When you look at the cruise history of some of these contributors it may seem a bit intimidating, but , like you and me, they all started with their first cruise!

Approach the situation with an open mind....you are amongst friendly folk!

Regards

Phil in Northampton

Yes, I have a a cruise booked. Leaving on the Breeze on oct. 30

My biggest tip is to get to your departure city at least a day ahead. don't fly in the same day of your cruise.

Next, don't try to stuff every second on board or in port with activities. Much of the joy of a cruise is relaxing, at least for me. You'll get a ship's newsletter every night that will list the next day's activities so you can plan your day as much as you want, but you don't have to at all.

third, check out the Carnival website, which will give you lots of info about your ship.

Get a guidebook from your library or bookstore so you'll know something about where you're going! It can save you a bundle if what interests you is easy to do on your own, but you must know something about the places you'll go, for that to work well!
