No al la carte at Mr Sanchos

Frustrating, at 9:30 am took a taxi to Mr Sancho's. Got there and was informed no a la carte that day (thursday) only AI.

As we were only staying a few hours (lunch only) we said no thank you. Taxi recommended Playa Uvas.

He then harged us another $15 when we got there, on top of the $17 to Sanchos, and Uvas was on way back. He claimed he told us Sanchos was AI only, not so. Went to Uvas, $15 pp admission (included 1 drink). wasn't thrilled, rocks and rope to climb over to get into water, nachos were cold.

Wow, what a surprise. Hope it's not permanent, we did this a couple years ago and planned to do it again this December.

IMHO Paradise Beach is a better choice than Sanchos for a pay-as-you-go beach club option.

Seems strange that they told you no ala catre. Website still mentions it in small print. Must be marketing the A.I. and packages. If true, then as John in DC says, Paradise Beach would be a better option.

 

Taxi driver must be getting paid to take folks to Playa Uvas. Common experience to be avoided by knowing other options. It's more for snorkeling and ship excursions that combine snorkeling and beach than it is for just the sandy beach stuff.

We did pay as you go at Mr. Sancho's in June. It has really changed since the last time we were there and although still a nice area right in front of the blow up beach toys, you really feel isolated compared to the AI side. We are going to try Paradise Beach Club in September.
