We will be in Florence in the fall and are looking to take a cooking class either on its own as as part of a tour. Has anyone done this?

Hey Mickey22

A group of friends took a cooking class at mercato centrale (huge market) at cucina lorenzo de medici, on the 2nd floor. Lots of fun, (aprons, instructors, knowledge, laughs, eat your meal, wine, and diploma). as you stroll thru market, there are glass windows to watch others at this class, was about 60 euros for 1 1/2 hours.

You can also check getyourguide.com or eatingitalyfoodtours.com Haven't used them, did some research. Didn't want viator tours, not happy with them. Good Luck
