Cash From Onboard Account?

You can buy casino chips on your credit card in advance. You'll get vouchers in your room which you take to the casino cashiers who will give you cash. To get chips, you'd have to turn the cash in at a table. The only thing you need to consider is that you need to determine the amount you need in advance. You'll have to play some of the money or they may become suspicious.

I thought I was following along but now i’m confused. :classic_wacko: We’ll be on the Eurodam in Feb.

1) Are you saying you can’t charge the slot machines to the room anymore? Or that I have to (cash no longer accepted)?

2) Husband also plays casino games. Will we have to bring cash for the craps table? We can’t remember how it worked last time and it could have changed. If it has to be cash, i’ll buy him starter chips in the presale indulgences so we don’t have to bring so much.

3) When you cash out from the slots, does it have to /can it be to cash? Or can / must you cash out into your ship account? What about chips?

1.  For slot machines, you must insert your card into a slot machine to open a bank account for a specific amount.  This amount will be immediately charged to your room.  Play as long as you wish, stop, and return to play more on any other machine.  Your bank account will be a running total that you can see on whatever machine you are playing.  You can open bank accounts and cash them out as many times as you wish.

2.  Cannot help on craps.

3.  All slot machine cashouts are paid in cash.  I cannot help with chips but they are probably the same.

Some passengers obtain cash opening a bank account via slot machine, make a few pulls, and then cachout to avoid the 3% surcharge charged by the Front Desk when you obtain cash from them.

You can use your card to fund table games. I'm not sure if there is a surcharge or not. When you leave the table you will have chips which you take to the casino window. As far as I know, they only provide cash, they can't credit your winnings to your on board account.

1) - you can use cash into the slot machines OR you can charge money to play on to your cabin account.  Its been this way for several years now and was this way in Oct.

But you must still insert your key card into the machine to establish a "bank" that is used at the cage when you cash out, since the machines no longer pay out coins.
