I am going on the Epic next month. Can anyone tell me if you can request twin beds in a balcony cabin?

Talk to your cabin steward when you board. They will separate the bed during the nightly turn down.

Contact NCL or your TA, they should be able to have this setup before you board.

If you logon to your reservation, you can put this in your reservation. If it is not done when you board, just tell your cabin steward and s/he will take care of it for you. No big deal.

They will be about 8 inches apart. Very close to each other. But yes, they are available.

If you got eight inches apart, your beds were considerably further apart than mine were. Mine were literally two to three inches apart. Basically just enough space to make them up as two separate beds, but no actual room between them.
