What was your upgrade offer and what did you bid

Wow, the bidding is stressing me out! I keep inching my bid up on our upcoming Akaska cruise on the Bliss in June and I need to stop. My husband will kill me lol.

You are lucky as I am also on a free cruise spa balcony. Myself and several others I know bid. My bid was higher than yours in the fair range. This is the 1st time I didn’t get accepted and I bid on every category. Last year I go Aft 2 room Penthouse for 900 ea. Disappointed but congrats to you.

Can I ask if this was your first upgrade?

I was a Casino booking so FREE CRUISE all I paid for was Taxes and Port Fees. Free Balcony room. I then 90 days ago paid 400 to upgrade to a Mini Suite I think MB. Then 30 days ago I bid 700 (lowest) for a H7 and didn't bid on anything else and just got notified today.

So who knows, but couldn't be happier.

Maybe people in the H5's will bid and that will free up other H5's. I'm trying to decide whether to up my bid and/or bid on another category.

That’s true! I guess the more bids the better!

If by some miracle our bid for a Haven suite is accepted, and I have already prepaid the tips....are the Haven difference tips added to the onboard acct? I realize there are extra tips outside of this for butlers etc

I called and asked this question. They said if you prepay they don't charge you anymore. If you dont prepay then they charge you the Haven rates.

I am on the Gem April 28 in a balcony that I got through a casino certificate. Nice to see there is a chance of a haven upgrade. Pretty slim chance though, most of the Haven suites are sold out. I did also bid on SE and SF and there are a few of them left.

If you purchase a cabin within 20 days of sailing, is there still a chance that you will receive an upgrade email? Does anyone know, from experience, how long after you booked you received the email? Just curious. In the past, I've always contacted the upsell # about 10 days out, but the upsell number has been retired, correct? Thanks! Pat

I booked mine 22 days out and received upgrade e mail the next day.

Still waiting patiently (not) for the 4/15 Getaway sailing....

Same here! Got an upsell to a Haven aft penthouse last time around (under the old upsell program) and would REALLY love to be in the Haven again!

Good news & bad news, I’ll start with the bad. No Haven for me as my bid was not excepted. Good news, the cabin I already had is awesome. Yaaaayyyyy I am taking a cruise.

Love it! That’s the spirit 😎

We are on the Getaway 4/29 sailing. We upgraded to Haven in 2016 and hope to get upgraded this time. This is much more stressful than calling at the 30 day mark and offering an amount. My husband has no idea I bid on the upgrade. If I get it he will find out the same way he did last time, at check-in.

Sorry it didn't work out but love your great attitude! Do you mind sharing what your current cabin and bids were?

I booked a sale away balcony and got a family balcony on deck 12. My bids were basically low ball. Lol. One was $400 and the other 2 were $600. I figured if Poseidon wanted me in the Haven, one of the bids would have worked. :p

Unlucky. My bid for DOS was also rejected but I’m already in the Haven so I’m not gutted [emoji41][emoji106]

I called NCL tonight after seeing SOLD OUT on many of the Haven rooms on the website. I wanted to know why they were still offering bidding for upgrades on room categories that were unavailable online and I was told they have rooms available that are not on the website. The representative said that would not offer bidding on rooms if they were not available and until I receive accepted or denied there is still a possibility. Has anyone heard differently? I wonder if the information given out by their representatives is consistent?

Lies! They have the bids available for totally sold out cabins as backup if someone should cancel.
