A mid-week Fill the Bag special will be offered. As much as you can stuff into the paper laundry bag for about $29. Roll clothing small and stuff everything you can. Do delicates in the sink yourself, things will be washed fairly hot.

Do NCL ships offer self serve laundry?

 

There are no self-serve laundry on any NCL ship. NCL offers same day, next day, and bulk (two day) laundry service. The bulk service allows you to fill a laundry bag for a flat fee of $20 on a specific day (usually Day 4 of a 7 day cruise) of your cruise returning on Day 6. If you are a upper tier Latitudes member, you are offered discounted or free laundry service.

Thanks...I would prefer to do my own, but it is good to know that we can have laundry done. Want to pack light for our 17 days of London and cruise.

Does anybody know if all items placed in the bag are washed together. meaning you cant really mix colours etc.

Not everything from the same bag is necessarily washed together, but you have no control over what they do with your laundry. They may not make the same choices as you would at home about what gets washed with what, at what temperature, etc. Assume that they will use the harshest detergent and the highest temperatures (also for tumble drying) and then decide if you want to send that particular item of clothing.

the clothing also comes back with little tags in it that have your cabin number. these arent that easy to pull off, but yet they do give a pleasant reminder of vacation... lol

NCL gives each Platinum passenger a free bag of laundry per cruise. If not Platinum, there is usually a bag special for a good price at some point during the cruise. We always do a pre-cruise land trip and turn in laundry. We have never had any clothes ruined and it all came back on hangars or folded.

 

Still, I would not put some delicate fabrics in the laundry. Hand wash or dry cleaning would be the option.

 

We sometimes do socks and stuff in our sink.
