Spicy food on Harmony

I find steak and lobster bland. Is there anywhere to get a good spicy dish onboard.

The problem in my experience is that the curries (that have little to no chilli) food options taste okay in terms of their sauce but the compromise is to use pet-quality meat which for me makes them inedible.

You need to sail from the UK. On our last cruise on Explorer from Southampton they had curries on the MDR menu nightly and wow they were good, and properly spicy!

I forgot to mention that many times they have a couple of Indian dishes offered nightly in the MDR. They are not on the menu, you have to ask your waiter or head waiter.

Sorry, not the answer for people who like Indian style curries etc. Just sprinkling spice powder on your food does not taste the same as the real deal.

I absolutely agree!!

 

I've sailed out of Southampton 3 times and every night they have had a decent curry in MDR. Some are vegetarian and taste great :o)

In the Med, Harmony had a pretty good selection of curries in the Windjammer, both lunch time and evening.

 

In the Caribbean there were no meat curries ever at lunch time (vegetarian only). And I agree the quality of meat, when available, was generally poor; bordering on insulting.

FYI, the head chef on Harmony is Indian. As a result, the Indian menu food quality was A+. Chef also thoughtfully came out nightly to talk to us about his creations.
