swanmark Posted April 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 9, 2017 Hi Guys, just a thought about the latest announcement that Norwegian are going fully all inclusive. I was wondering if it would effect the rules about bringing alcohol or water on board. because surely now it wouldn't make any difference, for example if I wanted to take a specialist whiskey on board, it wouldn't make any difference to anyone else as all the booze is free. Also the drinks in your mini bar will they be free, again its not going to make any difference when its all free. Any ideas guys ?
FreestyleNovice Posted April 9, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 9, 2017 Nope. As there are many others with "old" booking conditions so the ships will have a mix of booking conditions for the next few years I guess.
ColinIllinois Posted April 9, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 9, 2017 Norwegian isn't going FULLY all-inclusive. The plan isn't available for North Americans. http://www.cruisecritic.com/news/news.cfm?ID=7710

sanger727 Posted April 9, 2017 #6 Share Posted April 9, 2017 The all inclusive is only for certain bookings, a majority of the ship will not be on the all inclusive plan so no, don't see any of the rules changing. samshltn Posted April 13, 2017 #7 Share Posted April 13, 2017 The plan isn't available for North Americans. If an American wanted to get the UK deal, how would NCL stop them? I'm British myself, and when the US offering is more attractive I book through the American site, or call the Miami office. When the UK one is more attractive I book through the European offices. Exactly. I have booked through the UK. I just had to pay in £'s. Sent from my SM-N910V using Forums mobile app
akdgfd1976 Posted April 13, 2017 #9 Share Posted April 13, 2017 So, Latitude perks will mean next to nothing if they go all inclusive.

akdgfd1976 Posted April 13, 2017 #11 Share Posted April 13, 2017 Which Latitude perks, specifically, are also benefits of All Inclusive? The Platinum specialty restaurants/wine, bottle of water come to mind. The drink package is almost a given at this point. It's always a choice when booking. samshltn Posted April 13, 2017 #12 Share Posted April 13, 2017 The Platinum specialty restaurants... The Premium All Inclusive concept doesn't include specialty restaurants. That continues to be a perk of Platinum.

Maybe it was this thread that gave me that impression when I read it the other day. blebreton14 Posted April 13, 2017 #14 Share Posted April 13, 2017 From the article... Premium All Inclusive includes drinks in all bars, lounges and restaurants onboard the line's 14 ships, including spirits, tap beer, bottled beer, wine, cocktails, soft drinks and juices. The roll out also includes Lavazza coffee specialities during mealtimes; one bottle of water per passenger, per day; service charges and gratuities, plus additional inclusions such as specialty dining, 250 minutes of free Wi-Fi and onboard credit for passengers booked in a suite and The Haven by Norwegian. So I can drink all the booze I want but I can only get one bottle of water per day...seems logical

Especially since there is plenty of water available on the ship to drink. Any bar/restaurant will give you a glass of water or you can fill your own. ulster-cruiser Posted May 12, 2017 #16 Share Posted May 12, 2017 Anyone notice UK prices have rocketed since this announcement...and not much has changed really...
Maraprince Posted May 12, 2017 #17 Share Posted May 12, 2017 Not at all interested the AI program. I do not drink alcohol, soda or speciality coffees. Would not want to pay a lot more to subsidize those who do. Also, I want to be able to choose what's included: i.e., gratituities, shore excursions, some photos, etc. MARAPRINCE
zerooveride Posted May 13, 2017 #18 Share Posted May 13, 2017 So can a US based person get this deal. It's about $800 for two people on the cruise I'm looking at. Would love to know. Between dining, soda, gratuity and alcohol, this would be worth it.
