Carnival and non-smokers

I have been on 15 Carnival cruises and have never had a problem with smoke at all, except in the Casino. We just got off the Dream on Sunday. My mother, who has horrible COPD was with us and never experienced a problem.

Call me a snitch if you like but if someone is doing something that impacts me I will say something. If it didn't impact me I wouldn't say a word. But it's not allowed and therefore I'm in the right to report them, especially when their unpermitted actions impact my enjoyment of my balcony.

Agreed. I couldn't care less about things that don't affect me personally, such as attire, but smoke makes me feel sick to my stomach and affects my overall health. If I paid the extra money to enjoy a balcony I would not hesitate to rat someone out for doing something that is actually ruining my trip. If someone were wearing a hat in the MDR, whatever.

Ditto. I paid extra for that balcony to enjoy it, not smell/breath in someones cigarette smoke. If you are smoking in the designated areas then I don't complain. I just try to avoid them as much as possible. It's one of the reasons I don't go to the casino.

We have been on 10 cruises. Yes the smoke is horrible ! Anywhere near the casino and you about gag to death. Very sad for us non smokers who would like to enjoy the casino.
