CruzanKris Posted September 23, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2017 We just completed our 30th cruise, we are Diamond on RCCL and have sailed Carnival, Celebrity, MSC, Princess, Premier, HAL in the past. We would like to try an NCL ship to compare. We prefer the newer larger mega ships with all the bells and whistles. We Love ships like the Harmony and Allure of the Seas. I book cruises for the ships and the ports are not as important. Can you tell me a good NCL ship to try? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Rare Keith1010 Posted September 23, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 23, 2017 While you will get answers here I would recommend posting this on the NCL Board. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=-1&f=107 Keith
champagne123 Posted September 23, 2017 #3 Share Posted September 23, 2017 I have been on the Breakaway...the Getaway is the sister ship. These are NCL'S Mega Ships. Wonderful venues, restaurants, bars, and even has an "outside" boardwalk so that you can eat outside right on the sea. I think you would enjoy these two ships.

As mentioned, I too recommend anything Breakaway and newer, especially Escape or Bliss. My older NCL cruises were so bad, I'll never sail anything older than Breakaway again. Escape, on the other hand, I loved.

tgallag Posted September 23, 2017 #8 Share Posted September 23, 2017 Loved both Escape and Epic. Sent from my SM-T350 using Forums mobile app
pliskin Posted September 23, 2017 #9 Share Posted September 23, 2017 My favorite NCL ship is the jewel. But it's older and smaller. All the new ships with NCL are great although the bathrooms on the epic are a bit odd which is why they stopped that class after one ship. dolittle Posted September 24, 2017 #10 Share Posted September 24, 2017 The Breakaway is great we love the Irish pub and the outside bars . Do it with a few days in New York before cruise, the downtown dock can be walked to from many spots.
Warm Breezes Posted October 2, 2017 #11 Share Posted October 2, 2017 Just off of the Escape...without a doubt my favorite cruise to date after 16 cruises (9 Carnival, 4 NCL, 2 Disney, 1 Princess). Excellent food, service, cleanliness, and many activities/venues to choose from.
