as I sit here in the pacific northwest watching the clouds and sun have their daily war over who will win out for the longest appearance of the day - and watch the temps go from 24 to 42 in the last couple hours - I scroll through your pics and dream of my next cruise - won't be on the Dream until next year - but learning a lot about this ship from your review and we could be BDBs (Best Drinking Buddies)

My idea of going to the spa is inviting our neighbors over on a Friday night, getting into our inflatable Intex hot tub from Wal-Mart, and drinking and having inappropriate conversations. But I know there are those of you who go the actual spa on the ship, so let's have a look:

If you wanna get your hair did so you can bring Jackie Stallone glamour to elegant night (DO NOT Google Jackie Stallone if you wanna retain your eyesight) this is where you go:

You would never know it by my gratuitous consumption of booze and Guy's Burgers, but group exercise is very near and dear to my heart. This is the fitness studio:

It's 70+ degrees here today, and I was shivering earlier. :') Glad my review is helpful to you! And I'm always looking for new drinking buddies! :D

Continuing our tour of the spa, I LOVE the lighted spiral staircases on the Spa deck:

I know it's really hard to believe that my red meat-lovin, basically alcoholic ass is a gym rat, but I really am, so I had to get a couple of pics:

In case you wanna get blown on your cruise:

Thalasso-whatever pool. There's no bar there, so we're not interested:

Ya'll are quiet as hell, but I'll trudge on with our tour of the ship. Let's stumble all the way down to deck 5 and check out the Fun Shops. (Fun only if your idea of said "fun" is navigating Black Friday-level crowds in a super small space and paying an exorbitant amount of money for crap that's made in China):

A closer look at some of the stuff they sell: (Side note: why does Carnival only sell clothing that appeals to 80 year old women who are named Hazel, wear sweaters with cats on them, and enjoy word searches?)

I'm a little sad that you can now buy the same vanilla on the ship that we always make a point to buy at Los Cincos Soles when we're in Cozumel. It just takes away from the experience for me, and this is coming from someone who normally likes it when something gets "cheapened.":

Let's take a panoramic look at the shops:

Let's look down onto the atrium. Because we're the poster children for maturity, every cruise, we make it a point to take the glass elevators from deck 3, all the way to 12, and back down again. And no, we shouldn't be trusted with adult responsibilities:

For this next set of photos, please ask your children to leave the room and then proceed to put on your best smoking jacket, and light up a cigarette because these pics are straight up pornographic. "33% bigger bottles" and "build a bar" are the hottest things I've ever heard:

If this pic doesn't turn you on, then you're not human:

I'm not religious, but if I believed in heaven, it would look very similar to this:

If your partner decides to spend the equivalent of your monthly salary on hot, sparkly Golden Girls couture in the shops, there's a kiosk nearby where you can add money to your sail and sign account:

Looking down onto the beautiful structure known as the Atrium bar:

The candy store, in case you like paying 4x as much for the same candy you can get at any grocery store on land:

Saw this advertised near the shops, just in case there are any other couples out there like C and I who actually like each other and are thinking about doing a vow renewal:

Like I said before, we don't go to any of the shows. There's just not enough inappropriate and questionable behavior there for us. But in case you are interested in where they are held:

Continued in next post, because the next set of pics all go together and I'm anal and have self-diagnosed OCD and can't post them separately:

I'm enjoying your review! We are doing the same itinerary in January. I agree with you about the shops, they have little of interest. I think the only thing I have ever purchased (in 13 cruises) was some hair clips because it was very windy and I was desperate. They changed color in the sun, so that was exciting, but more appropriate for a 10 yr old. :)

This actually makes me sorta strangely happy-we don't always make it to Mexico on our cruises, but I use sooo much of this vanilla. This means I can just pick it up on the ship whenever we cruise instead of finding someone heading to Cozumel and getting them to ship me some after their cruise, lol

That's something I've pondered more than once as I stand in a "Fun Shop" and shake my head.

I'm not sure, but this may have been because we were stopping in Mexico. We've been to Cozumel many times and this is the first time I've seen it on the ship.
