Luggage

Recommended Posts

Instead of putting out your luggage the night before disembarking are you allowed to keep it and take it off the ship yourself?

Yes we do this every time.

Just FYI....there are usually a lot of passengers doing self assist so if you need to be off the ship quickly I would suggest you get downstairs and in line VERY early. Otherwise the elevators get so clogged it’s nearly impossible to get one.

Have a wonderful cruise!!!

We don't love any type of disembarkation, but we find self-disembarkation to be easier. No need to pack up early, and no need to be reunited with our luggage in the terminal. Yes, lines are long -- but lines are long with regular disembarkation too!

Yikes!!!! That’s too early for me!!:o

If you don’t have a need to be off that early just know that once they release the self assist people say around 6:45 you are free to self assist off the ship at anytime you choose after then.....

So no worries about getting downstairs so early if you don’t need too...😁😁

We put our luggage out overnight, and enjoy a nice relaxing breakfast in the morning, not having to be off the ship right away.

Even when we are ready to leave, we still have our rolling carry on bags. Almost every time we have had to carry them down the stairs when we leave for our waiting area at around 8:30 due to self assist with huge bags still in the elevators. :o

Have seen many self assist with those huge bags bump, thumping them down the stair wells....or worse yet...carrying them UP the stairs! They don't look happy.
