Banana15 Posted November 25, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 25, 2017 I am trying to plan a trip on NCL Pride for my anniversary. We were married in September and I would like to go during our actual anniversary, but I read there is more of a chance of rain and that the waves tend to get bigger in September. Our other option would be May, but would it make a huge difference? Is there a month you’d prefer over the other?
easyboy Posted November 25, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 25, 2017 It was in a month of May when we did the Hawaii Cruise. We missed one port out of 4 Hawaii ports due to weather. The weather was great in the other ports. Weather could really be unpredictable. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
CruiserBruce Posted November 25, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 25, 2017 It will be hotter and more humid in September. Not sure you can predict more rain in September, at least in our experience (25+ visits, in virtually every month).
Rare Keith1010 Posted November 25, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 25, 2017 I agree with CruiserBruce. It really is difficult to predict what the weather will be like. I would pick the date that works best for you. Keith
Banana15 Posted November 25, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted November 25, 2017 So there’s not really an advantage to one month over the next? CruiserBruce, you said September is hotter and more humid... is May warm enough to be in the water, just not as humid yet? CruiserBruce Posted November 25, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 25, 2017 So there’s not really an advantage to one month over the next? CruiserBruce, you said September is hotter and more humid... is May warm enough to be in the water, just not as humid yet? Sent from my iPhone using Forums Every day of the year is swim weather in Hawaii. The temps range from mid 70s to about 90 every month of the year. There is no month of the year in Hawaii when the weather is "bad" for tourists. Rain can happen every month, a little more in Dec-Mar. But rain is very rarely a problem...it is warm, and usually short lived. So, no, I wouldn't say there is an advantage May vs September.
Banana15 Posted November 25, 2017 Author #7 Share Posted November 25, 2017 That's basically what I wanted to know. Thanks for all the input :D
cb at sea Posted November 26, 2017 #8 Share Posted November 26, 2017 Either/or...makes no difference, except if the week you choose has bad weather. No way to predict that in advance!
