Just got off the Breakaway yesterday. The internet speed was the worst of any cruise I have been on. I did not even try it since it was so slow.

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

and i noticed certain areas of the ships had better wifi coverage then others. in the theater, my device picked up a low/weak wifi signal compare to the atrium.

Depends on what WiFi and/or VoIP calling you are referring to? We used it with Google Hangouts and also direct with our T-Mobile options to call over WiFi, and it works well ... 5 GHz band is less congested, except last 2 sea days. Skype audio calling is good since bandwidth isn't a big drain over satellite.
