UmaDaughterOfUrsula Posted December 17, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 17, 2017 Are shorts allowed for breakfast in MDR? I know for dinner it's NO but breakfast? What is the cost of the premium water? We have packages, just wondering. If we are at a specialty dining: Do we have to tell the MDR staff we won't be there or will they know due to reservation? Also what about if we won't be there due to late port stop (San Juan 3pm-10:30pm = might not be back for early dinner). Don't want to keep others waiting if we're not going to show up. cb at sea Posted December 17, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 17, 2017 Yes..breakfast and lunch are VERY casual. Just no bathing suits showing. If you are sharing a table with others in the MDR, it's nice to let them know when you won't be joining them...but it's not a requirement. If you know ahead of time, by all means, mention it. If it's a last minute thing...don't worry about it.
easyboy Posted December 17, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 17, 2017 If by specialty dining, you mean set dining, yes it is advisable to extend the courtesy and inform the MDR of your inability to join your fellow passengers sharing with your table. Yes shorts are allowed at breakfast and lunch (sea days) in the MDR. We purchase the Premium Non Alcoholic Pkg and for dinner we order wine or champagne by the glass. Yes advise your MDR Staff your are going to Specialty restaurant to avoid your table mates wait for you.
dkjretired Posted December 17, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 17, 2017 You should tell the MDR staff of your absence if you have traditional dining, not if you are in Select.
