NanaCaro Posted January 7, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 7, 2018 Question for Viking ocean past-cruisers.......is the infinity pool heated? We've never tried an infinity pool.......how did you feel when you got in the water...and there's no obvious edge? I want to try it, but am scared! Rare Vineyard View Posted January 7, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 7, 2018 It is heated, and it is awesome! Go for it! :D:D Seriously, it is a small pool and I really enjoyed it. I never felt any fear.
suspaul Posted January 7, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 7, 2018 Can’t answer if it’s heated or not but here’s a YouTube video showing the infinity pool. Go for it and give it a try, you’ll be safe. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Capt_BJ Posted January 7, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 7, 2018 infinity pools are cool first one I saw was on the edge of a cliff. the illusion was that the pool was open to the edge of the cliff and the water fell WAY down! In truth there is an edge, it is just "this far" below the normal depth of the water & the edges of the other sides are higher .... and there is a catch basin below that catches the water. in other words, you can't fall out unless you try very hard, by climbing over the edge. bcorre2 Posted January 8, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 8, 2018 (edited) Don't miss the Infinity Pool opportunity! You can find CC information over the last three years by using the Search Thread for "infinity pool" on Viking Ocean and Viking Ocean Roll Calls by ship. Plenty of information compiled for you to peruse with answers to your questions. Do both search thread and show post. Not all are in agreement. Warm/cool, salt/fresh, deep/shallow. You need to experience yourself. Warm sunny day on our first visit to Dubrovnik, Croatia on the Star Sept 2015. On our 4 VO cruises we will not miss the chance. Be sure to get a picture of you in the pool. Edited January 8, 2018 by bcorre2 sp

dln929 Posted January 8, 2018 #7 Share Posted January 8, 2018 There's nothing scary about the infinity pool! We're in the Mediterranean now on the Star and the temps have been in the high 50s - low 60s F. Every day there's been someone in the pool. The views have been extraordinary. philw1776 Posted January 8, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 8, 2018 Infinity pool is nice. Unless you're way over 6 foot you need to tread water or hang onto the sides (easy). No danger of accidentally going over the edge to your demise.
nanface Posted January 9, 2018 #9 Share Posted January 9, 2018 In that video it looks like people have claimed most of the chairs with their towels, but are not by them or in the water. Is this an issue usually? Easy to find open chairs? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
dln929 Posted January 15, 2018 #10 Share Posted January 15, 2018 This is how you appear to people walking on the docks approaching the ship. I do not think I will hug the southern edges of the pool after seeing this!!! Sent from my SM-G955U using Forums mobile app
