Feel free to ask any questions. I saved the Fun Times and the show schedule. I'm also planning to write a thread specifically about the cove balcony with a compilation of all my balcony photos since when I was researching myself I couldn't find much information on these balconies.

Wow best review!! Where did you get the clothes pin holder? Ship didn’t even look crowded!! Love your idea of only doing one elegant night!! Thanks again!!

I got the clothespin holder on Amazon for a few bucks. And I was really surprised, too, about the non crowded feel of the ship. Even though there are more passengers, there is also more room to spread out. :)

Enjoyed your review, I’ll be on the Vista 02/18..I’m so excited, I’ve been stalking CC for months now..lol reading every post about Vista and Ports we will visit. We’re doing the same itinerary. This will be me and DH 4th cruise, but 1st time booking at the Steak House.. I was trying to book opposite the MDR elegant night, Do you know if the Vista offers the lobster on elegant nights for free? I am aware that you can get the surf and turf any night in the MDR for a $20 upcharge.. also did you have a chance to enjoy the sky ride, you didn’t mention It in your review?

I don't eat lobster, so I didn't happen to notice if they had it on the menu. The two elegant nights are the first Sea Day and Grand Cayman day.

We talked about trying out the Sky Ride. DH was really talking it up. On the last sea day I told him it was his last shot and he told me he chickened out. Lol!

Your pictures are wonderful. We were on the Vista in the Nov 4 sailing and loved it. However, we totally missed the churned ice cream you mention. Where do you get it? Thx

The churned ice cream is on Lido deck in the buffet during lunch. It isn't by the large Sweet Spot, but next to the smaller Sweet Spot. They have two different flavors everyday. I thought it was a nice addition to the included options.

Yeah, I thought the funnel thing was pretty cool. It was neat to see so many different colors and patterns. They have a smaller version in the casino.

One in the casino too! Cool!! A lot of posts say they miss a grand atrium did you? A hotel lobby is what it is compared too and were there a lot of shops? Thanks

I found your review a couple weeks ago, I think just after you started. I finally had the chance this weekend, and today, to finish it up. I've enjoyed your reviews in the past and I enjoyed this one just as well. You got some really nice pictures of Vista too. I've never been on her, but I do know that many do not like her atrium while others do. I do like the funnel thing that changes colors though...I'd be mesmerized by it.

It's funny you mentioning Matt and he actually acknowledged you and I think that is really nice. On our first cruise, we were on the Lido deck in loungers on a day we had a short port day after we already set sail to the next port. I know I looked over just as he and someone else sat down and I said "hello" to him and was going to let him know we were enjoying the cruise, but he gave me this annoyed look with the "I don't want to be bothered" type of expression. OK, whatever. I think it was on Carnival Glory we came back from a port early and spoke to the CD, only to get the same thing as the first, so we hardly pay any attention to the CD's anymore and really can care less who they are since DH and I aren't the certain types of passengers CD's tend to fawn over. We participate in certain things, enjoy the bars, comedy club, walking the deck, etc. and have never been the types who need entertained. That was very nice of Matt to actually speak, he sounds like a class act.

Thank you for taking the time to do another review, I always enjoy what you right, beautiful pictures and video. As always, I really enjoyed it but sad to see it over already. :)

We ate lunch on Lido. DH had a burger and I had turkey wrap from the deli.

I didn't miss the grand atrium. It was different, but not bad different. And I've never seen a hotel lobby with that giant funnel. If it didn't have the funnel, however, it probably would look pretty plain. There did seem to be more shops on the Vista than the other ships.

Thank you for all the kind words.

Yes, I was impressed with Matt, too. I thought I might find him annoying as his catch phrase really annoys me ("bye, I said bye"), but thankfully he didn't say that too much. When I was standing in line, I was just looking at him (he is very nice to look it ;p), but I didn't want to say anything since he was getting lunch. It was nice that he initiated the pleasantries.

Did you do FTTF? Thanks

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Nope! I personally think that FTTF is a waste of money. We were probably on the ship 15/20 minutes after the FTTF. And if you have an excursion, you get priority tendering anyway. AND, I'm going to be platinum on my next cruise (as long as it is more than 6 days). :D

Lol! No problem. I love posting reviews. Makes me relive it while possibly helping others at the same time. I have to do my traditional Shutterfly book next.
