Marykatesmom Posted January 14, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 14, 2018 I apologize if this is a FAQ. Is there enough room under the bed to store your luggage? I have a new hard sided luggage that is thicker than the older soft sided.
trinicruisegyal Posted January 14, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 14, 2018 I apologize if this is a FAQ. Is there enough room under the bed to store your luggage? I have a new hard sided luggage that is thicker than the older soft sided. All of our hardside luggage fit underneath the bed...the smaller suitcase and carry-on of my husband's set fit into his larger case, we also had my 2 large suitcases, with my carry-on as well. His suitcase is the only one which was a little snug going past the outer 'rail' of the bed, however the actual cavity under the bed appeared to be taller. His suitcase is approximately 14" deep. hugger Posted January 14, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 14, 2018 You sometimes need to lift the bed slightly to get past that outer rail. There is normally another 2-3 inches of height once past the outer rail of the bed. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Marykatesmom Posted January 15, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted January 15, 2018 Thanks! That is the plan. Put the suitcases under the bed.

It cleared the room nicely! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Marykatesmom Posted January 17, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted January 17, 2018 I have been sweating it out trying to limit myself to one suitcase but for two weeks and souvenirs I don't think it could be done.

Do you know that there are laundries on each cabin deck? There's no need to overpack when you can wash your clothes daily if you'd like. philw1776 Posted January 17, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 17, 2018 Viking laundry fees are very reasonable. Why people spend serious 5 figures on a cruise and then spend time washing clothes and checking on dryers seems like a waste of very expensive time that can be totally worry free and fun. Super shoppers sometimes buy cheap luggage to carry souvenirs back home.
garycarla Posted January 19, 2018 #9 Share Posted January 19, 2018 All the ships we have been on had plenty of room under the bed. A trick that overpackers can use if to open the suitcase upand slid it under. A few years ago, we went to carryon only and solved that problem. LOL!
