When to book for Christmas 2018?

We are considering a Christmas cruise for our 10th anniversary this year. But trying to decide between that or a resort based on prices. Right now it's looking like $850/person (family of 4) for ocean view before fees. What do you think the chances are of catching a price drop in the next 10-11 months? We did a Carnival Christmas cruise a few years ago at $719/person for an OV room. If a kids sail free special happens can I get a price drop for that?

Book now. If the price drops before final payment just call and get the price reduction.

Book now, especially for the holiday sailings when school is out. I never see "kids sail free" special during the prime holiday weeks (unless you try to get the week before school is out). There may be a slight chance of prices going down, especially for the "mega ships", although pretty slim during the always sold-out holiday weeks. Good luck.

I’d book now. That way you can get the room you want. You could always get them to reprice it if it goes down.

You might also want to postpone your trip for a year and look at 2019 prices.
