How was embarkation? What time do you recommend getting to the Port? Recent reviews have said it's a bit of a madhouse...

We had an awesome time on the Dawn.

 

All the singers were top notch, Ashlee was a finalist on American idol and did a tribute to Whitney

 

Houston.

 

As she sang "I wanna Dance with somebody.... " and walking down the front aisle, my special needs son

 

popped up, she let him spin her around as she kept singing... the crowd loved it and so did we. :)

 

Elements is not to Be Missed. Get there early to get a seat. The Magician sawed my daughter in Half

 

during his show... :)

 

Not sure about the Hotel Director, can check on that. Or Ariel. They had an Irish folk singer several nites.

 

The casino was loose the 1st 2 nites, then tightened up (slots) most of the rest of the cruise.

 

We were there every nite and had a good time, but our 401k's took a hit (lol).

 

Did not do Le Bistro. Cagneys was the highlight of the cruise. WONDERFUL. *****

 

Teppanyaki the service was very slow, took 30 minutes to get a drink, as our waiter took orders

 

for 16 people and brought out the drinks on one tray. Some were melted from sitting :(

 

20% tip included in bill... not a big deal but not anything we experienced in any of the other

 

restaurants. Service was outstanding, ships morale very high. Food quality excellent.

 

Captain Martin is extremely hands on and a great guy.

 

As for embarkation, its a little crazy if you get there too early, so we prefer to wait til 12:30 or so

 

to board. They serve lunch til 3pm. then open again after Muster drill. Will follow up with some photos

 

soon. Take Care. "You Are a Norwegian Now!" Have a great cruise everyone! Tip Your Crew! They love

 

it and so do we...
