When will status change - during trip or after completed?

We need 1,100 points to advance to black; our next cruise "earns" more than that.

 

Will be be upgraded to black for that cruise? Or only upon completion for our next cruise.

 

I looked at both T's and C's and FAQ and did not see addressed ...

Typically you do not get points till after you complete the cruise. If you are taking more than 1 section of a world cruise you used to get moved up during the cruise pending completion of a section. You could try ringing MSC, but don't hold your breath.

It’ll be after the cruise. My last one bumped me from silver to gold, but I had silver while I was on the boat.

Under section 3

 

 

Once a new point score is reached (enabling qualification for a new level of membership) the member receives an MSC Voyagers Club card with the same Club identification number. Members will be informed of their new level of membership via email after the cruise and the new card is issued on the next cruise taken after their membership upgrade.
