The catamaran returns to Whittier and you will be transported by bus to Anchorage. We’ve done the tour but not the transfer. The tour is exceptional.

I love this tour.  I’ve taken it at least eight times, and once I took it two days in a row with different vendors, riding the train r/t from Anchorage. IMO just as nice as Glacier Bay with up close view of glaciers and rafts of otters in calm water around you.

The tour unfortunately no longer goes to Barry Arm and Surprise Glacier.  If you are arriving into Whittier, you probably did College Fjord the evening before and this will be a repeat.  Not that I would ever get tired of looking at glaciers, but it will be the same glacier.

You would take a bus to Anchorage after the Phillips cruise.  The cruise is on a catamaran but the bus or train offers transportation to Anchorage.  Some of the HAL cruises go to College Fjord as part of the itinerary.
