ssb Posted September 21, 2018 #26 Share Posted September 21, 2018 We are Royal Caribbean folks, and live in Galveston..... so do not use Cruise line transfers to airports. But with three full time Carnival ships in Galveston , its hard to believe Carnival does not provide same day transfer service to Hobby Airport ! ???? Carnival does run a shuttle to HOU but not to IAH. It is not free. I think it's about $36.99 each way.

We didn't have this option when I flew in last January. Had to use Galveston Limo. I have another cruise with my sisters next April and this would be great since it is far cheaper for me to fly into IAH. Thanks! Edit: Just checked the Carnival site and you are right! It costs $46.99 but still, it's another option. Edited October 30, 2018 by LuckyStar

I have been volunteering at the USO center at IAH for the last 3 1/2 years and Carnival has had their shuttle service for at least that long on cruise days. We stayed near the airport at a hotel with a free shuttle & used Galveston Express the next day. It was an easy, less than 1 hour drive. Exactly. We did this too. The hotels around IAH are very affordable and most have shuttles. We used Galveston Limo instead but I am sure they are comparable. Very reliable. Always good to have choices.
