How is Maho Beach coming along? We love Maho but read the hurricanes really hit it hard. :( Hoping it is starting to come back.

I went to Maho earlier this year in April. The beach was nice. There was shade. They were doing construction on a parking lot and a building. I went snorkeling and saw some giant turtles. It's more of a local vibe.

To me-- it means not overly developed or touristy. A place the locals enjoy because of its tranquility and beauty.

Yes-- you need to take a cab there and ask them to pick you up. Yes, it is family friendly. Very laid back and relaxed. No food or drink-- we pack a cooler when we go. Good snorkeling and calm water when we were there.

I am assuming your ship docks in St. Thomas. You need to take a water ferry to St. John USVI and then taxi to Maho Bay Beach.

How long a taxi ride is it to Maho once one gets to St. John? We have already been to Trunk and Cinnamon and would like to try something different. Our cruise is next month (Nov 2018). Thanks.

Maho would add 5 minutes to the ride from Cinnamon.  Maho is the next bay "east" from Cinnamon.
