Jimmycruiser Posted July 22, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 22, 2018 We are booked on a B2B and have the same cabin on both. Can we stay in our suite or on the ship during the changeover or do we have to disembark then checkin or reboard again?
laurieb Posted July 22, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2018 Most of the time, you will get your new room card for the second cruise and do your check in, the day before the first cruise ends. We've never had to disembark before. The ship is so nice and quiet on change over day, except of course for the very busy employees getting ready for the next cruise. Not quite 100% correct, as you cannot check in for the second cruise before the first cruise ends. Yes, you will get your new keycard the day before, either at a meeting for all those doing B2B, or if you are unable to attend, it will be delivered to your stateroom. You will also get a detailed list of what will be open and when on changeover day. On changeover day, you will be asked to go (most recently) to the Cabaret with both old and new keycards to check out, check back in and have your new photo taken. This is usually around 9am. If there are cruisers staying on board utilising the late departure program, they will also check out and be issued with a Visitor's Pass. If you wish to go ashore early, you will be checked out as you leave, and checked back in with your new keycard when you return.
Wickets Posted July 23, 2018 #4 Share Posted July 23, 2018 We are doing a b2b out of Miami next spring. We were told when booked on board that we are required to clear the ship in U.S. ports. Much rather spend morning on board. Sent from my iPad using Forums

Your belongings can stay on board in your cabin however.
ellbon Posted July 23, 2018 #6 Share Posted July 23, 2018 The leaving of the ship in American ports takes about an hour. if in Mia just go shopping.
Baynanno1 Posted July 23, 2018 #7 Share Posted July 23, 2018 I was going to add I had heard you had to leave the ship in U.S. ports, but not having first hand experience of those locations, I left it out.
