Carry on cokes

Recommended Posts

Good morning, we like the occasional coke during the day and when sailing with Carnival we had become accustomed to just bringing them with us in the carry-on, but I read that Royal Caribbean does not allow that and I had resigned myself to just buying my cokes or the soda package. We have grown to dislike the coke package on Carnival though as we often get flat cokes or only half a can with the bubbles package. We get a nice fresh coke at our leisure with our own cans.

Then I started reading that most people just carry on cokes anyway and it is ignored. I would really like to carry my own cokes on, so can someone tell me their experience with this? Is it truly ignored? Can I bring on more cokes at the port? If so, I could start with just a six pack carry-on and a six pack each port would do us.

After already spending thousands of dollars for a cruise, why not simply just have soda delivered directly to your stateroom. No lugging. Will $2.33 to $2.50 per can make or break your cruise or wallet?

can anyone point out a post where they were denied bringing a case of water or 12 pack of soda? It's been a long time I think.

Happens all the time at Port Canaveral unless the cans/bottles are stored in luggage.

We were just got off Oasis.

I was talking to another passenger and they brought two bags (one for each room) each filled with water and soda. One bag made it and the other did not make it.

He was ok with it - still came out ahead.

I went the same way - i put a case of water in a bag and it made it to the room just fine.

I take a 2 liter of diet coke on board and have never had any problems. I only drink it in my room and most of the time it's a small glass - like 1/2 a can, so an open can would go flat by the next time I would drink it. If tightly sealed, the 2 liter stays fizzy and lasts me 7 days. Cans would just be a waste for me.
